Replace Accessory

Unfortunately there are situations in which an accessory gets broken and has to be replaced. Before the accessory is removed from HomeKit, you should check in which scenes and automations the accessory is used.

After adding a replacement accessory to HomeKit, you have to edit the scenes and automations to use the new accessory. This process can be tedious and error-prone.

To make all of these steps easier, Home+ lets you replace an accessory in an automated process. This process makes sure that an accessory is replaced by another on in scenes and automations. Events, conditions and actions are edited to only use the replacement accessory.

This feature is available in the detail screen of an accessory.
